ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” Las Vegas tribute show CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.
Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in pop/rock Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas dinner package music history.
More than just being one of the top-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also created and performed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.
In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.
Ask Google “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.
Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.
In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.
What was meant to be a limited run turned into a long-term hit show.
By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a large and loyal following along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”
He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..
The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
